Introduction: I and my partner has chosen to an about racism at school show following around a young boy who gets build for his race we have to decide to use animation as we both never done it before what we are doing is the  Treatment, Script,

 

 

Storyboard, Set designs etc In Our P1 task which we have to be able production materials for an original short film. My risk assessment was I would be talking about my highest risk and how I would sort them out, also design our storyboard created on a word from scratch.

Pass- to be able production materials for an original short film.

 

 

Treatment- First draft of my understanding of what I include and explain to the class about my plans and are film will be animation.

 

 

The script from unit 11- The script ll from our storyboard write up all from google docs account a cover page titled racism and bullying. 

 

 

Storyboard- We have created the first three scene on a word document with photos that are from the internet also explains what we are doing In each scene. We have decided to choose a boy because we felt as too much of an obvious choice If we pick a girl,

I have finished my second part of the storyboard explain more of what the storying is say with the bullying and the young male. 

 

 

Set designs- We may use bird's eye view as It will give a better explanation on what we are trying to say when we go out to interview, But mainly decide to use a bird's eye view because it would be easy to explain when it comes to the place that frequently changes.

 

 

Recce- In our location, we have plan it in the school we have a plan our problems such as sound, power, and light, set props and design and also any anticipated problems.

 

 

Power, lighting, and sound- We would be using a  mixture of natural lighting with artificial lighting with our film.

 

 

Anticipated problems- our problem would be sound such as noisy kids can come in the way of the shooting.

 

 

Set and props- In our film, we won't need any props because we would have tables and chairs provide for us for our interviews.

 

 

Risk  Assessment- My main risk would be broken camera our actions would be paying for a new camera our new risk level would be still High because even though we bought a new camera would not be trusted to have another one again, My second risk would be having the film unsaved give us to redo the entire film story again.

 

 

Daily Shooting schedule- Task includes me doing planning equipment and also conditions as well, also come with a time planning telling us what we should be doing in that time hour.

My set design plan would hope to become something like this I also hope the interview would be in somewhat an office but we would not have to use alighting from the lighting box.

We would hope to use the light of the sealing. 

 

Unit 41 P2 Production Materials 

Setting up Appropriate Equipment 

In this photo is shown to be setting up the right equipment before filming. This is to be seen in the main school of John Cabot Academy, On to of the balcony that can be overlooked to show the main entrance of the school.

What we have change in our film is the first scene where the victim selfs harms as it was to grosum for viewers to watch for viewers to watch.So we have change it to when the the actor washes his face instead of cutting him self. 

These two scene we did not change we have keep because we have follow thought  with the ideas. 

C) Following safe working practices 

Following safe working practice would be fire alarm in case we are in the middle of our filming the alarm goes off.We would stop what we are doing and follow everyone outside as towards the filed as its the safest place to go when the fire alarm does.  

 

Objects falling off: such as camera falling off tripod this would become a hazard we would check if the camera is stable before filming anything. 

​

Wires in the way: The wires would be everywhere/anywhere even when we are outside. We would change this and limit ourselves with the wires so then we don't trip up as much when we are filming. 

D)Following production processes 

In our production we have included the first aid, emergency and what are safety rules we would need to follow in case something happen.Such as: Bomb Threat

How did you use this equipment to ensure your film was good quality? 

​

We have insured that there was good lighting quality for when we have to interviewed without this part of the film we would be unable to see who we are interviewing or mophing. We have check beforehand if the lights were good enough to film if they were to high standard for our interview  and mophing. 

​

Did anything go right or wrong? 

​

What went wrong was the camera always being out of focus this has happen during the taken of our GV slides so once in a while we have to often fix the focus. Also when we were outside there would be frequently wind blowing in the camera so you would be only hearing the  wind in  the background and not focusing on the GV slide.

Our final problem would be the lighting in kate's office although it was good lighting we still could not see quit clearing.

What was the Genre

For our genre we have pick to do a documentary about our topic on bullying this can go on to about 2 mins long this includes with interviews and our mophing.

How has your film effects enhanced meaning? 

When we have used a scene where the victim gets bullied   this parts shows how enhanced bullying could get  when nothing is been done or being told by any teachers. This proves that part of our film we have enhanced our the meaning of bulling from our film.

A) Logging rushes

We have created a rush log for our film we both watch over each clip to see whether or not it can be put in our film. What I mean by part 1 is because we are planning on creating a sound rush log to maybe.

Our bad film shoots would be 

The problem would be a shaky footage this would not be stable for our topic.

Our second bad film would be would be a GV slide as it was too dark for anything to be picked up from.

In our film I have been taken Screenshots of what we have been included.As you can seen I have taken two screenshots the first one can been seen the teacher comforting the student.While the second screenshot show the victim getting bullied.    

We have named our film 'Social Equality'.As we named this because of the bullying that's going on in school we hope to stop the bullying.

What I have here are 4 different rushes log that me  an my partner has done.We have done 4 as because do it for individual task such as our first task was the General Views (GVS) out of what we have we have 3 good Gvs that we would use for our film on the others we have choosin No as the Gvs were there was talk between the clip or we use the slider to help be didn't go as planned

This would be same done as for the rushes GV below. We have also created a rush log for interview we have 3 interviews by the name of Katie,Katy and Michelle we have these to have taken there own opinion bullying /Racism. We have interviewed  them and the clip we have used  turn out good so we have move on forward with their video and used our video 

B) Production and reviewing offline edit 

In Our offline edit that we have show to the class.We have received feedback on what we have been doing so far in our film. Our paper feedback we have been given so far were to' Clear the background noise' as when looking over the film it was hard to hear. The rest of our feedback was just about the audio and who we should change it.

The effects added,how did they help with the final outcome? 

My effects such as my ident and mophing helps me because it shows my understanding and skills with my visual effects and as well with our morphing i've seen that  skills in edit are still developing.

Our Final film project based towards the subject of bullying in school we have been given written feedback from the class on what we should be seen in P4 above. Our feedback suggests that we should

'Include more of our visual effects'

As we have not included this when showing our offline edit to the class we have improved this feedback were we have shown our final visual effects in our film project.

 

The feedback we have received is very helpful as we now know what to improve our film with the feedback we have received.

​

U- Universal- suitable for all 

A U film should be suitable for audience four yeas over, although it is impossible to predict what might upset any particular child. U films should be set within a positive framework and should offer reassuring counterbalance to any violence, threat or horror.

If a work is particularly suitable for preschool children, this will  be indicated in the BBFinsight. 

Before Filming 

 

We have gotten the victim of our main film project to sign the release form as we would show that he had given us permission to film him in front of the camera.
