UNIT 24 P1 Learners research

Introduction:

In unit P1 Different types of opportunities such as higher education, gap year, apprenticeships ships and workplace the positive and negative of having them and I will be going into detail on what you can be doing in that specific work placement with each have the definition to explain what that specific word means such as an apprenticeship.

I also in my unit P2/P3 is my word cloud and what I have done was highlight what i'm good at and bad at next to this I have made a table on more but this time I include opportunities and threats to give more to talk about my pathways can include my achievements awards interest and life experience and etc where I explain on the topic that I hope to continence and last is my disadvantages advantages about universty.

Apprenticeships
Apprenticeships:
The workplace you can be doing is an apprenticeship or a paid apprenticeships but both will be turn out as only temporary as some would only like to work a little while but not for long as he/she would only wish to gain experience into what is simpler to what they hope to do in the actual workplace., but the main reason on why people have an apprenticeships is because the ability to work and earn money while you're getting a qualification and to be nationally recognised as a qualification on completion of training.
My Positive: The benefits would help kick start off your career it's also great way to help when to look for you know you have experience in that particular workplace and also knowing that you have been paid on the side also well to have a little motivation even if the paid work is between £3.00-£5.00 because would consider this as a well paid.
My Negative: The bad point is that most would miss out on uthe niversity experience
So by doing an apprenticeship, you have to plunge straight into the world of work which may take a hit on your social life.
But also have the responsibility because Your employer will have deadlines to meet and clients to please.
Higher Education
Higher education: Such as University and having BA (Bachelor of Arts) or a BSc (Bachelor of Science)
The meaning of higher education: Is an education at universities or similar educational establishments, especially to degree level
University positive- Getting into a university class that has any easy entry for UCAS points that are very low.
-Can accept BTEC grades that could be equivalent to an A-level

Negative of University- Not every university will expect a low UCAS point as they could see it as not education and would not accept you.
-Although taking a Btec class would be ok in college it depends would you really want to do in university.
Workplace
The meaning of a workplace
A place where people work, such as an office or factory.
Positive of a workplace-
A positive work environment can mean the be successful for an organisation to begin, they must define what a positive workplace is by establishing good relationships, improving teamwork, and fostering innovations.
Negative workplace-
Not able to work in a team due to false information or little communication within the group relationships can be turned down due to miss behaving within the group this can lead the group to not work with each other because of this the team is unable to focus on work.
Paid work
The meaning of paid work.
When an employee is paid on a basis meaning the I could receive regular pay on a normal salary, and that the amount doesn't fluctuate in the regard to the quality or a quantity of work actually performed.
Positive of paid work
Salaried workers generally are paid more than hourly workers due to higher expectations, but this means that they would have to work as a result, they may need to work more than a standard 40-hour week to have gained enough money to have frequent days off from work especially when you own the business you would get frequent days from work.
Negative of paid work
-Any hours over 40 are paid at one and a half times his regular rate of pay. A salaried employee, however, does not get paid overtime. Whether he works 40 hours or 60 hours in a week, his pay remains the same.
-Salaried employees also may not get extra pay for working on holidays, whereas most companies pay hourly employees overtime pay for working those days.
The meaning of Voluntary work:
A person who voluntarily offers himself or herself for a service or undertaking 2 a person who performs a service willingly and without pay.
Positive for voluntary
Gain confidence volunteering can help gain confidence by giving you the chance to try something new and build a real achievement. Learning new skills from volunteering can help something that's as easily such as family and friends.

Negative for voluntary
Sometimes students only work volunteering is to make their resume better, So they would not have to but as much work in therefore this makes it harder to gain in personality.

Why did people choose to go in the workplace?
I think people are ready and finished University would normally go straight into workplace because they have prepared for work include their CV such as their voluntary work but for those who have not I think they would have to stay behind a little and finish off a voluntary work and to including that on their CV.

Why do people choose to do voluntarily?
I think people chosen to do voluntarily is to put their CV before entering or finishing university or putting last minute CV's together but normally voluntarily can be done during the summer when most busy or during half term, But I think voluntarily would work on the busy week so they can test them self if they can handle the heavy preacher of working.
Gap year
The meaning of gap year
A period, typically an academic year, taken by a student as a break between school and university or college education.
Positive of a gap year
Making your resume look good a gap year can provide with valuable new skills any employer will be impressed by also while on a gap year you can meet new people because every day we are the same people.
Negative of a gap year
Having a gap year could mean miss out on university this could mean that you will behind on everything even graduation while everyone leaves you are staying back a year because of traveling. Most people a year gone would be in their dream job and you are now starting to graduation.

Why do people choose to have a gap year?
For having a gap year I believe that few would have not know where to do as a permanent job role so intent of them having to think on the dot they take a gap year to find out what the really want as a job intestate of have to take a job that is not right for them other who may know what they really what to do but have decided to take a gap year as to travel before really settling down in for university or a job chair just yet they would like to see other things meet new people instead of seeing the same face every day.
Unit P2/P3 Word Cloud
What I have been doing is completely my strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats better known as the SWOT.
What have been doing was asking the basic question such as what do you do best, what do you do best at.
What disadvantages do you have?
Do you have any of you stretchers hold you back?
Those were questions that I have given myself that I would hope to complete by in the year two in each part I'm explaining what I'm good at and what I'm not I personally think having everything laid out in this format can easily point what I can improve on other than my good points.
My Word Cloud

Example Word Cloud

I have a created a mood board with my weakness in red, my strength in Green I also include few other things such as roles, projects ideas, and communication in teams.
Weakness: my weakness includes having bad grammar, spelling on time dates and photoshop.
I 've to decide to include this as my weakness as I think I can easily overcome although there are others that I can't like my exam results.
My other weakness includes Illustrator as I'm not very good to think it's something I can start learning to do.
Strengths: My Photography, being on-time doing work on my Wix page, Video editing I choose these as my strong points as I believe those are my best points.
The colours label as orange was because it's something that I'm good at but not great at and that I could be focusing, roles, projects, style and communication are others that I could look at.
Pathway to University
Achievements and awards?
My achievements include me completing my first year or creative media and also having my first Distinctions grade the end of last year I have also had an override of a Merit at the end of last year as well.
My awards include me doing?
My only award I have in and that would be year 10 work experience at a retirement that I have done for 1 week as a part of my task.
Life Experience an interest?
My experience in a working place was at a retirement home even though it's not in the creative media workplace I was first thinking of working in the Health and social care workplace but even though that was in year 10 I now think to continue in the Creative media side of the working place.
My interest?
What interest me the most is photography, as I like to take natural photo's that doesn't need any photoshopping as I think it would not be the best way of taking a photo if I have to edit later but if there is a photo I have taken that does need anyway of changing then I will edit bits I don't like out of the photo.
What recourse do I have to help me get there?
Resources that could help me would be is asking teachers at Boomsatsuma about course in creative media to give me brief ideas on what I should be looking for and also what owns should be looking from me what I do apply for jobs I also think advice from those previous students who have done everything before hand giving tips on what you should and should not do when applying.
UCAS- is points what college or university is looking for and this is one of many resources that I will need this helps me because I find it readers to know how much the subject course I'm taken has 168 points worth after knowing this I'm able to know which college and University will accept such many UCAS points (BTEC QCF extended diploma)
How can all this help me work in the media industry and down my preferred pathway?
Now I understand the skills and resources I have, what are the advantages and disadvantages of me choosing the pathway of University.
Advantages- In the media industry at university you would be able to learn at a higher education instead of the basic level while learning you are able to meet new people in the classroom and able to get along also being independent at uni and gives you the life as an adult by the end of the school you get more qualifications in one single class than any other single GCSE lesson.
Disadvantages- The main problem with uni would be the loan coast everyone has problems with since the cost are high the more there are people who struggle to pay at this could lead to make a big decision and not go to uni just because of the entry cost.

Let's say people do decide to go after entering the student would need to find a job that pays enough for them to cover monthly pay mouths for the school also by working the student Is unable to go to class due to overworking and be tried due to the fact he/she has to pay for the loan or monthly fee of the university and finally eating right having an unhealthy diet can affect they way you learn and focus in class by just simply not eating enough.

Unit 24 P5 Personal Information
Imporvet CV

What I have prepared for P5 is the Cv that I have created for this unit is the CV of my chosen form of application. I have picked this as when coming to the near future on applying for a job. I would have already had most of what I needed on my Cv placed down what I have done for from past experience that I have done in the past or when I have finished post 16 (sixth form).
So far I have included what I have done so far is my grades from my secondary school. To know what my updates are now and for that, I have a place down John Cabot Academy(6th form) my choice, of course, is Boomsatsuma creative media. As I have almost come to the end of the course I have not be given a full grade yet as I do I plan to upload it to my Cv.
